In the past 24 hours, 9 new deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded in the hospital, according to data communicated by the Directorate General of Health (DGS) on Wednesday.
In total, the coronavirus has killed 30,305 people in the country. Among these deaths, 19,799 took place in hospitals.
The figures for social and medico-social establishments will not be updated until August 11. The latest report, drawn up on Tuesday, reported 10,506 dead.
5,148 hospitalized patients
The DGS also indicates that 5148 people are still hospitalized after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 and that 137 new admissions have taken place in 24 hours.
Among the patients treated, 384 of the most serious cases are in the intensive care units. It's four less than Tuesday. 15 people have been admitted to intensive care in the past 24 hours.
The country had 19 new outbreaks of grouped cases (clusters) on Wednesday, but 459 clusters were closed, and 1,695 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours.
