Spain records a record of new coronavirus infections since the lockdown was lifted in June: at least 1,772 in 24 hours. The figure excludes data from 2 regions that have not provided them, Castile-Mancha and the Basque Country. El Pais announces it, noting that today's data is clearly increasing compared to the previous one. Furthermore, there is only one new death.

Africa is about to cross the threshold of one million coronavirus cases, equal to about 5% of the total worldwide, with almost 21 thousand deaths. This was reported in a weekly newsletter of "Africa Cdc", the African center for disease control, updated yesterday morning and published today on the Facebook page of this technical body of the African Union. The cases of Covid recorded in the 55 countries of the African continent are 968,020 and 20,612 coronavirus deaths. Compared to the previous weekly survey of 28 July, there has been an increase of 13%, mostly (65% of new cases) in southern Africa, followed (12%) by North Africa.
