Bad weather: weather alert, thunderstorms still in the south

The disturbance on the central Mediterranean will continue to affect the southern regions in the coming hours, with rains and thunderstorms.
    On the basis of available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a new weather alert which foresees from the early hours of Friday the persistence of widespread precipitation, locally also very intense and accompanied by hailstorms, lightning and strong gusts of wind, on Puglia, Basilicata , Calabria and Sicily , especially in the north-eastern sectors. The Department also assessed on the basis of the phenomena underway an orange alert for Friday in Puglia, on most of Basilicata, in Calabria and on north-eastern Sicily.
