(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, AUGUST 6 - The United States has recorded 1,262 new coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Johns Hopkins University count.
A figure similar to that of the day before, which brings to over 158,000 the total number of deaths recorded in the country since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, which appeared in China in December. The US has also identified 53,158 new cases of infection in one day, for a total budget of over 4.82 million infections.
