A young man from Mendoza, who entered San Luis illegally and participated in different family gatherings, tested positive for coronavirus when he returned to his province, which put his health status at risk. As a balance,  27 people were isolated and remain under epidemiological surveillance.

This was reported by the Provincial Crisis Committee, which on Wednesday night confirmed that the illegal entry occurred in the town of Unión, 236 kilometers south of the provincial capital. The case was detected after the young man tested positive on August 3 after "having walked through an informal access and close to the provincial border, where a remis picked him up and took him home." He was in San Luis from July 24 to 29 .

The coordinator of the Ministry of Justice, Luciano Anastasi, stated that the case is being investigated by judge Santiago Ortiz, who ordered the start of the case for noncompliance with articles 205 and 239 of the Penal Code .

"The director of the Hospital de Unión, Sandra Guzmán, contacted the Ministry of Health and her family group and the close contacts of the young man in question were immediately isolated. On August 3, she had a positive diagnosis for Covid-19, she could have been in an incubation period, we do not know since when it is positive because it is asymptomatic, "clarified the head of the Crisis Committee, María José Zanglá.

In this regard, he added that "an epidemiology team traveled to the town and tracked all their contacts, so there are 27 isolated people, 10 were living with the patient and it was decided to swab them ."

It turns out that San Luis only registers 29 positive cases accumulated since the start of the pandemic, with a fatality rate of "0".

"He could have been in San Luis and not infect anyone, or he could have infected everyone because he is asymptomatic. Look at what can lead to improper entry into a province," said the province's governor, Alberto Rodríguez Saá.

"We have to have responsibility and prudence. I know that the prohibition of the meetings hurts but we have to see the situations in the country. We are maintaining the sanitary status . We ask for patience, prudence, solidarity and responsibility from everyone," added the governor in his account. Twitter
