(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 06 - Padrenostro, the film directed by Claudio Noce with Pierfrancesco Favino in competition at the 77th
Venice International Film Festival, will be released in Italian cinemas on 24 September distributed by VisionDistribution.
Produced by Andrea Calbucci, Pierfrancesco Favino and MaurizioPiazza, the film is written by the same director together with Enrico Audenino, and is also played by Barbara Ronchi, Mattia Garaci, Francesco Gheghi, with the friendly participation of Antonio Gerardi and with the participation of Francesco Colella.
Rome, 1976. Valerio (Mattia Garaci) is ten years old and has a lively imagination. His life as a child was turned upside down when, together with his mother Gina (Barbara Ronchi), he witnessed the attack on his father Alfonso (PierfrancescoFavino) by a commando of terrorists. From that moment, fear and a sense of vulnerability dramatically mark the feelings of the whole family. But it is precisely in those difficult days that Valerio meets Christian (Francesco Gheghi), a little boy older than him. Lonely, rebellious and outspoken, he seems to have come from nowhere. That meeting, in a summer full of discoveries, will change their lives forever.
Padrenostro is a Lungta Film, Pko Cinema & Co., Tendercapital Productions and Vision Distribution production, in collaboration with Sky and Amazon Prime Video and with the contribution of the Calabria Region and the Calabria Film Commission Foundation.
