On the 140th day of quarantine, the Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 160 deaths and another 7,482 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The province of Buenos Aires registered a new record of infections, with 5,200, almost 70% of the positives of the day.

Since the detection of the first case, at the beginning of last March, there have already been 4,411 deaths and 235,677 infected in the country.

In its morning part, the health portfolio had confirmed the death of 40 people : 24 men (18 residents of the province of Buenos Aires, two from Salta, one from the City of Buenos Aires (CABA), one in Chaco, one in La Rioja and another in Santa Fe), and 16 women (eleven from Province, two from CABA, two from Chaco and one from Santa Fe).

By country, the US continues to be the most affected country with 4.7 million cases and 157,000 deaths, followed by Brazil (2.8 million positives and 97,000 deaths).

The third most affected country in number of infections is India, which exceeded the barrier of two million cases, although in the list of countries with the most deaths, Mexico is the third most affected country, already close to 50,000 deaths.

Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia are also among the 10 countries in the world with the highest number of infections, with figures that range between 456,000 cases in Mexico and 345,000 in Colombia.

Latin America has 206,000 deaths, and at the current rate it could soon surpass Europe in the number of deaths (215,000 in the Old Continent).

Recovered patients from the disease on the planet amount to 12.4 million, more than 60 percent of the total, and only one percent of currently active cases (65,000 of 6.1 million) are in serious or serious condition. critical.
