Actress Emmanuelle Béart will chair the jury of the 31st edition of the Dinard Film festival (Ille-et-Vilaine) from September 30 to October 4, the organizers announced on Friday. The festival, intended to promote British cinema to the public and French distributors, appointed as president of the jury the French actress who had been revealed by her role in Manon des sources by Claude Berri in 1986 for which she won the César du best supporting role.

She has toured with many filmmakers, men and women, including Claude Chabrol, Jacques Rivette, AndréTéchiné, but also Christine Citti, Rosanna Arquette, Catherine Corsini, Anne Fontaine. With her sister, Guy Béart's daughter has just released a disc bringing together twenty artists in tribute to the singer who died in 2015.

Alongside Emmanuelle Béart, the jury will bring together actor Vincent Dedienne, actresses and director Christine Citti and Sara Forestier, director Cédric Kahn. The festival will open with Days of the Bagnold Summer , Simon Bird's first feature film, adapted from Joff Winterhart's novel.
