Donald Trump is laying a few more stones on what increasingly looks like a great digital wall. The American president signed two decrees on Thursday evening prohibiting, in 45 days, any transaction with the application of mini-videos of Chinese origin TikTok, as well as with the social network of the same nationality WeChat. While these two decisions are still unclear, it should amount to de facto banning them from the United States through their forced removal from Google and Apple's app stores.

"Like TikTok, WeChat automatically captures large areas of information about its users, thus threatening to give the Chinese Communist Party access to personal data of Americans" , justifies the decree, without providing concrete evidence.
