(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 08 - Amal and George Clooney donated 100,000 dollars to three Lebanese NGOs after the devastating explosion that hit Beirut. The British media reported it.
"We are deeply concerned for the inhabitants of the city," the couple said in a statement, hoping that others would also contribute. The organizations that will receive the donation are the Lebanese Red Cross, ImpactLebanon and Baytna Baytak. Amal Ramzi Alamuddin, a human rights lawyer, was born in Beirut but moved with her family to Great Britain in the 1980s due to civil warfare.
