Last night, the people of the cultural world were informed that the performances outside will begin to return to the limits, and that the closed cultural events are still disabled, and they do not intend to remain silent. Tomorrow, a protest event is planned by the Forum of Cultural Institutions in Israel, which represents hundreds of cultural and artistic institutions together with EMI (Israel Artists Association), Shaham (Israel Actors' Organization) and many others.

The event will take place in Balfour, where a convoy of the cultural industry from all over the country will leave tomorrow starting at 5:00 PM with a clear goal: a protest against the situation in which the world of culture found itself following the Corona crisis, the helplessness leading to the collapse of cultural institutions and an immediate opening of the world of culture in Israel.

This is an impressive collaboration of cultural and artistic institutions in Israel from all areas of culture, including theater, dance, music, museums, acting schools, festivals, film institutions and more. The protest was also joined by the new Association of Musicians, EL (Children and Youth Theater Association), the Hall of Culture Forum, the Arab Cultural Associations Forum, Baty, the Israel Association of Stage Designers, the Playwrights 'Association, the Musicians' Association, the Association of Directors and Directors in Cinema and Television , Asitz - The Israeli Center for Children and Youth Theater, the Association of Plastic Artists, the Documentary Creators Forum and many more.

In Balfour in Jerusalem there will be protest shows and various cultural performances. Protest leaders also announced that out of deep concern for the future of workers and culture in Israel, they are considering far-reaching solutions. The protest was organized with the aim of raising the prime minister's footsteps on the public agenda regarding the formulation of an operational outline, which will prevent the bankruptcy of the entire cultural industry on all its employees and creators, despite the fact that senior Ministry of Health ministers Yuli Edelstein and Professors Roni Gamzo and Itamar Grotto The halls for activities in front of an audience in an agreed outline.

•  Artists' protest: "Why weddings yes and performances no?"

• Protest of the world of culture: "Fund the government - give what we deserve"

• The actors protest: " Let the country wake up"

Danny Weiss, CEO of Meditech and chairman of the Forum of Cultural Institutions in Israel said: "Although health officials agreed to open halls Gradually in the next two weeks, the "news" that came out last night from the prime minister only refers to outdoor cultural performances. Outdoor performances are one-time in nature, while the core of cultural activity is in halls, which according to Professors Gamzo and Grotto "are not a source of infection." Not discussed.

"Culture halls are much safer than planes, restaurants, gyms and IKEA, and yet tens of thousands of artists, creators, and employees of the culture world are held captive by a government that refuses to accept the recommendations of its own professionals. There is no need for a 'new outline', there is an existing outline which was successfully activated for 12 days and canceled without explanation. This coming Tuesday we will all go up to Balfour and be called to open the halls of culture and bring the industry back to life. We call on the government and its leader to transcend foreign considerations, listen to the recommendations of professionals and gradually and safely open the halls of culture. "
