(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 11 - Last take on August 11 in Rome for the Rai Leonardo event series, the first major international co-production to resume processing after the lockdown, thanks to the application of capillaries and specific anti-Covid security measures -19. An unpublished clip, accompanied by the music of John Paesano, shows the highly armored set of the fiction produced by Lux Vide by Matilde and Luca Bernabei in collaboration with Rai Fiction, Sony Pictures Entertainment, BigLight Production in association with France Télévisions and RTVE.
    The chiaroscuro images linger in the artist's studio, who in the series is Aidan Turner, then show the cities of Florence and Milan in the Renaissance era, reconstructed in the majestic backlot near the Lux Vide studios in Formello (Rome). The nearly 20,000 square meter site required 5 months of design and over 22 weeks of work. Under the guidance of the scenographer Domenico Sica, about 200 workers collaborated in the realization of the sets. Filming involved about 500 employees; over 1900 were the hours of work, 3000 extras and 2500 costumes used.
    In the cast, Giancarlo Giannini is Andrea del Verrocchio, Leonardo's master; Matilda De Angelis is Caterina da Cremona, the mysterious muse and closest friend; Freddie Highmore is Stefano Giraldi, a young investigator of the Podestà charged with solving the mystery at the center of the story; Carlos Cuevas is Salai, Leonardo's apprentice and trusted friend and James D'Arcy plays the role of Ludovico Sforza known as il Moro.
    Executive producers of the series are Luca Bernabei, DanielePassani for Lux Vide, Frank Spotnitz and Emily Feller for BigLight Productions, Freddie Highmore with his AlfrescoPictures, Brendan Fitzgerald for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sara Melodia and Luisa Cotta Ramosino for Lux Vide. The series - produced by Luca Bernabei, in collaboration with Rai Fiction, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Big Light Productions in association with France Télévisions and RTVE - is created by FrankSpotnitz and Steve Thompson and directed by Dan Percival and AlexisSweet.
