The ANMAT (National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology) banned an olive oil brand , after finding irregularities in its records.
It is about the extra virgin olive oil, brand Sabrooliva , with the labels RNPA Nº 130141963, RNE Nº 13000978 and Procedencia Mendoza, according to the disposition published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette.
The organism explained that the prohibition of the commercialization applies in all Argentina, since it is a product "falsely labeled" and "consequently illegal".
The investigation was initiated by a consumer complaint. After consultation with the Mendoza health authorities, it was concluded that the product registration (RPNA) is "non-existent".
In addition, the establishment registry "has been terminated."
Faced with this situation, the Administration affirms that the product violates the Argentine Food Code.
