In a more personal interview than ever, when he is injured again, after a hard fight with the Hapoel Tel Aviv management and the cancellation of his contract at the club, the footballer Maor Buzaglo clarifies that, contrary to the rumor mill and interpretations, he has no intention of retiring from the field. "I will not give anyone this pleasure," he says. "I'm only 32 years old, and on the road to full recovery."

• The most difficult year in Subliminal's life

In an extensive article to be published tomorrow (Friday) in the "Shishvat" supplement, Buzaglo reveals what led to his decision to separate from his close agent, his father, Yaakov Buzaglo. "He was sitting in my house and I explained to him that I thought it was better to separate forces, and that I was asking him to understand me. He was silent for a few minutes, but seemed to feel it was coming. There was a certain release for him too. It was like a big burden fell from his shoulders. "But every good thing he did was accompanied by riots in the media and noisy conduct. I am in the last line of my career, and I owe good karma, positive energy and quiet."

Bouzaglo recounts how he has experienced in the flesh over the years, "that it is a cruel and forced good profession. Young players get meager wages. They struggle, the teams enjoy. Then they wake up towards the age of 30, in the 90th minute, and realize they did not care for themselves or keep their rights. "It is time to establish a strong players' organization that will stand guard and ensure the rights of the players. Together, united, we are a significant force."

The season, he says, "I started with two fantastic games, and then I felt stopped. I do not know the reason, there is a lot of politics, a lot of considerations. I had a clause in the contract that if I get a few cooks and goals, I should get another grant, and maybe that too. Going into weighting whether to let me play or not.

"They dried me on the bench, they didn't let me play, they tried to make me angry. They put me in the last minutes of the game. They wanted to put me in the derby in the 89th minute, and also in the game against Betar Jerusalem at Teddy Stadium. I felt humiliated. In retrospect, I discovered that coach Nir Klinger wanted revenge on my father through me. After one of the games, which I went in at 0: 4, my dad was interviewed and said: 'A player at Maor's level is not put in at.' 0: 4 I do not follow his statements and I have no control over his mouth.

"In one of the conversations with Klinger, he said to me, 'I'm broken by your father. I'm tired of him talking about me in the media.' He said to me, 'Listen, your father is blocked on my WhatsApp. I can no longer.' "Even with me, he is sometimes blocked. But it is not fair to hurt me because of him. Make the separation between us."
