The Frankfurt police freed a trapped little raccoon from tree branches. A stroller had previously heard whimpering, "heartbreaking" sounds in the woods of the Fechenheimer Leinpfades, according to a message.
The woman then saw a baby raccoon in the branches and alerted the officials. Finally, a second young animal was discovered in the tree, apparently the sibling of the trapped four-legged friend. According to the police, both were emaciated.
The animals were finally rescued with a large ladder and the help of an animal lover. The animal was brought out of a tight spot with a targeted grip. Both raccoons finally came "in expert hands" to Gelnhausen, as the police announced.
