After many rumors, the possibility of associating your WhatsApp number to multiple devices and not to a single device at a time seems to be approaching, as happens now. According to a new report from WABetaInfo, the company is testing this new feature by extending it to 4 devices simultaneously. The main problem - for which the project has found hitches so far - would be to easily transfer all the chat history between the various devices.
WhatsApp is working to sync the chat history across platforms
The feature to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices will allow to sync your chat history.https: //t.co/rOFK9tSvUg
NOTE: This feature will be available in future.
Apparently, however, the obstacle will be overcome in this way: when the user wants to use WhatsApp on a second device, it will be necessary to copy the chat history exclusively via Wi-Fi connection. When WhatsApp has securely copied the chat history to the second device, it will finally be possible to use your account on this one. From then on, all messages will arrive on all devices associated with that account.
The only node would remain the synchronization between iOS and Android. At the moment, for example, it is not possible to transport all chats between the two operating systems, as the two platforms have different structures. In this regard, WABetaInfo states that the synchronization will be cross-platform.
