Coronavirus: infections still rising, there are 629

(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 15 - New increase in the number of people infected with Covid in the last 24 hours: they are 629, compared to 574 yesterday. The total number of cases now rises to 253,438. In Veneto (+120), Lombardy (+94) and Emilia Romagna (+71) the greatest increases. Only in Trentino and Valle d'Aosta have no new cases been registered. The swabs carried out were 53,123, an increase compared to 46,723 yesterday. These are the data from the Ministry of Health.
    Following an internal verification of its data, the Emilia Romagna Region today counted 154 deaths from Coronavirus which occurred between March, April and May and so far not considered. Apart from these, the new deaths in the last 24 hours are 4. The total number of victims thus rises to 35,392, almost half in Lombardy (16,837). (HANDLE).
