Munich - The need for respirators is constantly high in the ongoing and growing corona pandemic. Companies are always trying to make a quick profit with their dubious products. Now, in the EU's rapid alert system for consumer protection - RAPEX for short - a manufacturer of mouth and nose protection has opened again that promises protection against the virus but cannot keep it.

The mask in question is model KN95 from Doctor Cross. The mouth and nose mask is from China and the manufacturer illegally printed the CE logo on its product. With the CE mark , the manufacturer actually declares that he is adhering to the EU regulation and fulfilling all applicable requirements. This is then checked by an official body and the product is also given a four-digit identification number. But that didn't happen with this mask .
