(ANSA) - COPENHAGEN, AUGUST 15 - The Danish government has announced that from August 22 it will be mandatory to wear masks on public transport in order to contain the spread of a second wave of coronavirus. Until now, the obligation was only in six cities including Aarhus, the second in Denmark, where the circulation of the virus is still important. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called on the Danes not to let their guard down and respect the rules of social distancing and hygiene. "It is important to consider the mask as a complement," he insisted.
A total of 15,859 cases of Covid-19 and 621 deaths have been recorded in Denmark. (HANDLE).
