(ANSA-AFP) - ANKARA, AUG 15 - International pressures, threats and sanctions will not stop Turkey from looking for energy sources in the disputed areas of the Eastern Mediterranean around Cyprus, said Turkish president recepTayyip Erdogan, in the midst of growing tensions with Greece.
"Our country is totally right on this issue and we will continue to defend our rights using all means at our disposal", he told Turkish TV, adding that "we will not back down in the face of sanctions and threats".
The tensions in the eastern Mediterranean were the attention of yesterday's extraordinary council of EU foreign ministers. (ANSA-AFP).
