Ban on non-essential travel to Brussels and quarantine for those returning from the Belgian capital to the Netherlands. This is what the Dutch foreign ministry has decided - according to media reports - by inserting Brussels in the list of orange areas and countries, that is, at high risk. The same measure was taken for Antwerp a few weeks ago. The Belgium has seen a spike in infections in recent weeks, so as to make mandatory the use of the mask in the city. The Dutch ministry has also put Paris, Madrid and Ibiza on the orange list.

Meanwhile, more than 30,000 British citizens hastily returned home by train from French holidays before the new quarantine rules for those who had stayed in France were triggered - at 4.00 am London time on 15 August . This was reported, quoted by BBC, the company that manages the Eurotunnel railway under the Channel, which reveals that it had to increase its service by 30%, with the addition of 22 trains, given the exceptional circumstances, in addition to the period already normally busy. The shuttle trains loaded 11,600 additional cars, said Yann Leriche, CEO of the company, Getlink, who spoke of the "remarkable success" of the operation.

Meanwhile, the Danish government has announced that from 22 August it will be mandatory to wear masks on public transport in order to contain the spread of a second wave of coronavirus. Until now, the obligation was only in six cities, including Aarhus, the second in Denmark, where the circulation of the virus is still important. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen urged the Danes not to let their guard down and to respect the rules of social distancing and hygiene. "It is important to consider the mask as a complement," he insisted. In Denmark, a total of 15,859 cases of Covid-19 and 621 deaths were recorded.
