Homburg - Many people like to refresh themselves with a cold beer in summer. If you still have to drive your car or another vehicle home safely, you can also use the alcohol-free version of the barley juice.
Alcohol-free beers are usually clearly labeled as such. The customer always wants to be able to rely on the labeling of the food they buy, even if products repeatedly come into contact with dangerous substances that are not noted on the packaging. However, Karlsberg Brauerei GmbH now has to recall a non-alcoholic wheat beer from its range because the company made a blatant labeling error.
Karlsberg recall: wheat beer labeled as alcohol-free does contain alcohol
According to the brewery, a beer was labeled as non-alcoholic even though the bottles contain alcoholic beer. "The bottles were mistakenly provided with a neck loop, which identifies the alcohol-containing product as alcohol-free, " says a message from the Karlsberg brewery.
Affected by the recall is the product “Light natural wheat, alcohol-containing” from the “Karlsberg” brand . The beer was filled in 0.5 l returnable bottles. Every consumer can tell from the so-called lot label whether he has caught a wrongly labeled beer .

According to the company, three federal states are affected by the serious mistake, which could have dire consequences for drivers or people suffering from alcohol . Accordingly, the goods were “placed on the market” in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg as well as in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland .
