(ANSA) - FOLIGNO (PERUGIA), AUGUST 15 - The Umbria Region has decided to continue swabs for coronavirus research directly at Perugia airport also for the next arrivals from Malta (passengers on a first flight are already tested). Verifications are also underway on the possibility of extending the procedure also for arrivals from countries, such as Albania, for which 14-day isolation is envisaged. This emerged from today's meeting of the crisis unit of the Umbria Region to analyze the methods for applying the decree of 7 August and the ministerial order on returns from the countries most affected by the epidemic.
    At the moment, passengers returning from Malta to Perugia undergoing screening by means of a rhino-pharyngeal swab directly at San Francesco airport. Thanks to this procedure, a positive subject was identified in a few hours.
