Bad weather: storms are coming in the North, alert in Lombardy

Rains and thunderstorms are arriving in the North due to a perturbation of Atlantic origin which will reach the northern regions in the next few hours. This is indicated by a weather warning from the Civil Protection, which provides - from late Sunday afternoon - scattered rainfall, predominantly of downpour or thunderstorm character, over Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, in subsequent extension to Emilia Romagna. Possible heavy showers, frequent electrical activity, hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
    Evaluated for Monday, August 17, orange alert for hydrogeological risk in part of Lombardy. Yellow alert on Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, on sectors of Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Puglia and on the remaining sectors of Lombardy.
