The affected sausage was also sold in supermarkets in Hessen .

The veal liver sausage affected by the recall from Edeka's own brand “Our house brand” could spoil more quickly because, according to the manufacturer, some of the sausage was not cooked through. There is therefore even a health risk for consumers .

Customers can return the sausage they have already purchased with the best before date 07/15/2020 and the batch number 20162 in the relevant  Edeka grocery store. According to the manufacturer, this is also possible without presenting the receipt. The purchase price will be refunded.
