(ANSA) - ROME, AUGUST 16 - The United States will move next week to trigger sanctions against Iran, despite the rejection of their resolution at the UN Security Council: Donald Trump said at a press conference, explaining that it will be used to the ploy of the so-called 'snapback', a mechanism of the nuclear agreement with Irandel 2015 that would trigger sanctions against Tehran in case of violations. Even though the US denounced the agreement and came out of it, the UN resolution that implemented it still names them as participants.
"We will take the snapback," Trump said. Look at us next week ", he said, answering a question from a journalist (ANSA).
