In a new study published this week in the Health Adolescent of Journal, researchers from Stanford University School of Medicine conducted a telephone survey among over four thousand teens across the United States.

Among the respondents, it was found that 50.2 percent of them had used cigarettes or e-cigarettes in the past, compared to 48.8 percent who had never used them.

Analysis of the results of the poll showed that among the young people who underwent tests for the corona virus, those who used e-cigarettes in the 30 days prior to the test were found to be 5 times more positive for the virus than those who did not smoke. In e-cigarette users along with regular cigarettes, the rate was 7 times.

Possible causes for the findings include increased exposure to nicotine and the chemicals in e-cigarettes, which adversely affects lung function, frequent facial or mouth touches - typical of smokers, transfer of e-cigarette facilities between young users and obesity.

The researchers note that the use of e-cigarettes or the parallel use of e-cigarettes is a significant risk factor for contracting the virus.

In the development of the brain and increases their risk of developing heart and lung diseases.According to the present study, it seems that it also increases the risk of developing the corona virus.
