The Ministry of Health updated today (Monday) that the number of critically ill patients with the corona virus stands at 399 and four more patients have died. According to the data, there are 23,324 active patients in Israel, of whom 841 are hospitalized.
During a cabinet discussion last Thursday, Prof. Roni Gamzo, the corona projector, spoke about three alternatives for dealing with the virus. Gamzo was also asked by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to present an outline for the closure at the next meeting. As part of the preparations for the presentation of the outline, staff work is taking place and various alternatives are being examined, including the closure of hotels, entertainment events, public transportation and the education system. However, there is still no recommendation from Prof. Gamzo.
According to new data from the Ministry of Health, 921 new infections were registered at midnight. Yesterday, a total of 1,060 verified cases were recorded. It was also noted that by midnight 725 patients active in the virus had been added and the hospitals currently have 111 respiratory patients.
In the red cities sector, Jerusalem is still at the top with 3,676 active patients, followed by Bnei Brak with 1,386 active patients and below it Modi'in Illit with 1,079 patients.
At midnight today, 12,383 tests were performed in Israel for the presence of the virus, when yesterday the number was 16,587. Meanwhile, hospitals are suffering from congestion. Laniado Hospital suffers from a 130% corona occupancy. Nahariya Hospital currently has a total occupancy of 774.55 and a Corona occupancy of 109.09%.
Shaare Zedek Hospital has a general occupancy of 92.5 and a 100 percent corona occupancy, and Rambam has a general occupancy of 89.9% and a 95% corona occupancy.
