Hundreds of tourists are stuck in a resort in Santo Stefano, in the archipelago of La Maddalena, after the coronavirus positivity case ascertained on a worker of the tourist facility . The regional crisis unit carried out 470 swabs among vacationers and employees. Mario Nieddu, Health Councilor, confirms this to ANSA. "We are waiting for the swabs to be processed - he explains - in the meantime we have arranged for no one to move from the resort". However, Qulacuno tried to leave: two tourists were blocked by the police before they moved to Olbia airport.
The mayor of La Maddalena, Luca Montella, has meanwhile signed a new restrictive order that requires the use of the mask in the streets of the center from 9 to 14 and not only from 18 to 6 in the morning as established by the latest government dpcm. "We had to update the ordinance and protect ourselves at least as regards the streets and areas where there is greater traffic even during the day", he explains. As for the Santo Stefano resort, the mayor reassures: "there is no alarm, the swabs are being completed on all the subjects to be monitored and they have been advised not to leave the structure".
