Actress Eva Longoria became the presenter for the first night of the Democratic National Convention, and received warm approval from her fellow Hollywood members as well as fans of the actress.
During the opening of the event, the 45-year-old celebrity pointed out that this year democracy must be saved.
"Every four years we come together to reaffirm our democracy. This year we have come to save it," Eva said.
"We hoped to get together in one place, but instead we have devised a safe and responsible way to get together to share our ideas and talk about the future of our country," Longoria said, referring to the convention in a virtual way.

In another part of his speech, he was critical of the management of President Donald Trump and stressed that the last four years have left the country "undermined and divided."
