(ANSA) - Everything is ready on 22 and 23 August for the first post lockdown event of the Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Siena) with "A Tavola con il Nobile", a food and wine competition aimed at promoting the territory and the typical cuisine of the district.

A restart for the beautiful Tuscan village in the name of taste therefore, but unlike in recent years, due to Covid-19, the challenge in the kitchen will not be held with traditional local foods and dishes combined with Nobile glasses and prepared by the eight districts of the Bravìo delle Botti, historic event in the Tuscan town.

On the bill an amarcord event dedicated to the jurors of the competition, for a total of over 150 journalists, who participated in the sixteen editions organized since 2003 on the idea of ​​the journalist Bruno Gambacorta together with the Protection Consortium and aimed at territorial promotion, enhancing the tradition of typical local products by virtue of the characteristics of the Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano wine.

While the engines are warming up for the harvest, the reopening, as early as June, of the Enoliteca of the Vino Nobile Consortium is underlined which recorded, according to the protection body, a "sharp decline in international tourism, but a great recovery of the Italian and Northern Europe ". The calendar of the 2020 edition, number 17, foresees that on Saturday 22 August at the Poliziano Theater in Montepulciano, the history and evolution of "A Tavola con il Nobile" will be told through historical images and anecdotes. The program always includes on the same day, within the events of the Bravìo delle Botti 2020, the presentation of the Panno del Bravìo, the inauguration of the exhibition "Bravium: drappi di storia" and the "Festa della Bandiera", but not the challenge among the pushers of the barrels along the streets of Montepulciano. On 23 August there will be a competition between small flag-wavers and drummers from the districts.
