In the midst of questions about the continuity of isolation policies due to the coronavirus, the Government ratified this Tuesday that there will be a "summer season" and that it is working to open "tourist activities throughout the country . "

The Secretary of Tourism Promotion, Yanina Martínez , said this during the morning report of the Ministry of Health on the advance of the pandemic in the country, and after questioning the demonstrations that took place on Monday against the Government.

"What we have to guarantee in the different openings that are made gradually is security and trust. We must make it clear that these agglomerations as a march do not comply with the protocols. For example in Jujuy, which has been one of the first to open the activity, they had to backtrack. In order to have a summer season, and we ratify it from the Government , we are working in an articulated way with all the provinces and the private ones, "said the official.

And he added: "We work so that in the summer we can be opening tourism activity throughout the country. I once again emphasize that the important thing is to be able to practice individual responsibility so as not to cause damage to collective responsibility."

Until now, the ministry led by Matías Lammens has established protocols in gastronomy, hotels and travel agencies.

The government's confirmation comes days after the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Daniel Gollán, questioned whether there was still no vaccine.

"What will happen to the summer season? It is unimaginable that if we do not have a vaccine, hundreds of thousands of Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires suburbs would go to the coast. They would carry the disease in a massive way," Gollán warned.

However, in different tourist districts, many of them on the Atlantic Coast, they work to establish and get the protocols approved. In the last hours, Villa Gesell was the one who launched a comprehensive plan that must be agreed with the Government.

"We have been working in Villa Gesell setting up bars and restaurants because we are in phase 5. And we were concerned about putting together the protocols for public spaces and especially for the beach. We presented on Saturday a series of measures for the use of public space on the beaches and the spas, "said the mayor of that city, Gustavo Barrera, in statements to Radio 10 .
