Rupert Murdoch must be feeling a little lonely sometimes these days. Around the aging Australian media mogul, champion of the conservative cause and attentive chairman of the Fox News channel, family defections are on the rise, producing a curious political kaleidoscope.

One of her six children, James, once considered the 89-year-old patriarch's natural runner-up, has just donated $ 1 million to Democrat Joe Biden's presidential campaign. The affront is sizeable and looks like a dynastic settling of scores: Rupert, himself, had sworn the loss of Hillary Clinton in 2016 and devoted all his energy to it, well helped by the formidable boss of Fox News, Roger Ailes, today 'hui deceased.
