How safe does someone feel who is being hunted as Germany's online drug king? Someone who only communicates via encrypted channels and whose last name doesn't even know their closest business friends? Apparently very safe.
On May 28, 2019 at 9.26 a.m., a young man leaves Hall 1A of Munich Airport, he has entered from Spain. He is wearing an olive-colored hoodie, light-colored sweatpants, and black sports shoes. In front of the building he lights a cigarette and looks at his smartphone. Then he gets into a taxi that takes him to the village of Aschheim, travel time: 26 minutes.
The taxi stops opposite the town hall. The passenger gets out, crosses the street, goes into the building and heads for the waiting room of the residents' registration office. He has his appointment two minutes later and leaves the office at 10:10 a.m.
Then everything goes very quickly.
Special forces from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) rush towards the man in front of the town hall door. They overpower him, handcuff him, blindfold him and take him to a police station in Erding. The next day the accused is brought before a judge in Giessen, Hesse. She hands him the arrest warrant. The central accusation: "Suspicion of illegal gang trading with narcotics in not small quantities".
