The entertainer Helge Schneider deals intensively with people who cannot do anything with his humor. "I have never despised these people," said the 64-year-old comedian and cabaret artist of the weekly newspaper "Die Zeit", according to an advance notice. He understood that they could never understand his art.

He also dealt with these people because he never wanted to be arrogant himself. The fact that there is "a lot of misinformation about me and my concerts" also played a role in the aversion, said Schneider. "For example, that I'm a four-time millionaire - people think he makes money with shit." The opposite is true: "I am a hard worker."

In the interview, Schneider also speaks about his four ex-wives, with whom he has a total of six children. Sometimes he left, sometimes the woman. "It's not that easy in my job," says Schneider. He also admits that he prefers to tour alone. For some women, the musician continues, "that is then not the right thing". Nevertheless, he is "still reasonably socially acceptable".

But then he's not all alone on tour. His ten-year-old son Charly accompanies him on drums. "I recognized his talent. It falls into his lap," said Schneider. But he doesn't want to teach him anything. "With him it has to come from within. From watching," explains the artist. Nevertheless, his son gets a tip every now and then.

Schneider has been a musician since the 1970s. Since then he has released 13 albums. His last work so far - "Partypeople (at the butcher)" - appeared in August 2019. He also appeared repeatedly as an actor. He also enjoys a special cult humor status among fans because of works like "Praxis Dr. Hasenbein" (1997) or "00 Schneider - Im Wendekreis der Lidechse" (2013).
