The driver of an ICE train from Deutsche Bahn stopped on the Berlin-Wolfsburg route and let an obviously helpless man get on. The 27-year-old was on the open road near Rathenow in Brandenburg on Tuesday, right next to the tracks, said the federal police.

After the train driver had collected the man, he made an unscheduled stop in Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt). There he handed the man over to the federal police. After the police measures, the 27-year-old was allowed to leave the station again.

Another eight trains were delayed due to the unscheduled stop of the ICE.
