(ANSA) - BERLIN, AUGUST 19 - Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet Greta Thunberg tomorrow at the chancellery in Berlin together with the leading exponent of the German Fridaysfor Future movement Luisa Neubauer and two Belgian activists to talk about environmental politics in Germany and Europe. Among the topics on the table will be addressed the issues of trade in emission rights and the price of emission certificates, which have produced in Germany the decrease in German exports of electricity produced from lignite, the Chancellor recalled at a press conference, on the sidelines of the European Council. According to Merkel, Germany has moved closer to its climate goals, and not only thanks to the coronavirus lockdown. "It can be seen that these objectives can naturally be achieved," declared the Chancellor. (HANDLE).
