In which sectors do specialists and managers earn the most money? What role does the subject and the region play? A new salary report provides answers.

In the jungle of salaries, it is difficult to keep track of things. After completing their studies or training, many are wondering in which professions and industries they can earn the most money. A new salary study shows where the biggest salaries are waiting for you.

Salary 2019: How much you earn depends on various factors

The current 2019 salary report of the Stepstone job portal shows: In Germany, specialists and managers earn an  average of 58,090 euros a year . With personnel responsibility, the salary amounts to an average of 67,868 euros, without at least 51,176 euros per year.

That doesn't sound bad at first, but the salaries vary a lot. The differences between occupational groups, sectors or even regions are great, so the average of all salaries can only be a rough guide.

According to this, the earning potential varies with the choice of industry, company size, state and of course professional experience and responsibility.

In order to show how much Germans earn and what factors influence their salaries, Stepstone analyzed the data of around  85,000 specialists and executives . We show you the result here.
