A young woman of French nationality was attacked and a victim of sexual abuse in a rural town in Mendoza. The attackers are three men who have already been arrested. The case shocked the residents of the Uco Valley, the prosperous wine-growing area 80 kilometers from the city of Mendoza.

The 28-year-old woman resides in that farm area of ​​Mendoza, where many foreigners come in search of employment in the harvest of vineyards and fruit trees . The aberrant case occurred last Tuesday, but it only transpired this Friday when the Mendoza Justice reported the arrest of the three suspects.

The first of the detainees is a 17-year-old young man, who, according to the Tunuyán prosecutor, Javier Pascua, "would be the main executor of the sexual attack." A few hours later, the Tunuyán police detained two men fleeing in a car. They are two brothers, aged 17 and 25, who work as rural laborers. "They reside in Loteo Dante, in an area of ​​farms called Algarrobo, in the Uco Valley," reported the daily Los Andes.

The Prosecutor's Office has avoided spreading the name of the victim, but police investigators confirmed that the woman had French nationality and had been living in the area for several months , where she would have arrived to work.

The attack occurred at noon on Tuesday when the young woman left her home, in a lonely place. The prosecutor will charge the three detainees with sexual abuse aggravated by carnal access . The woman's neighbors went to the house of the alleged abusers and the police had to intervene to prevent them from attacking the relatives.
