Vogue's wedding magazine has set itself the goal of providing piles of inspiration for the days after the plague. So it's true that there are currently no grandiose and glorious weddings, but maybe in the future there will be, and even if not - why not indulge in nostalgia? Therefore, they use tweezers to collect the most beautiful and special weddings from the days before the spread of the corona virus and provide us with moments of escape from reality with the help of romantic, sticky and dreamy images. This is exactly how Seth Triangle and Julia Loomis' wedding was chosen, which includes Valentino and Givenchy wedding dresses and inspiration from the bride's two muses - Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.

Seth and Goliath met in 2015. Three and a half years after the first date, the marriage proposal arrived. Shortly after the engagements, they had already paid a deposit to La Granville restaurant in New York. They did not know what they were planning, but this location was a must for them. At first they thought of holding an engagement party there, then decided to hold the limited civil ceremony there, in the presence of only 40 guests. "It was before the plague and we felt we could have as many parties as we wanted and with as many guests as we wanted," says Julia. This created a whole weekend of wedding events for him.

The weekend, which took place in February 2020, began on Friday with a cocktail party at the penthouse of a local New York hotel that is also the popular “return meal” at overseas weddings. Julia wore a sheer Valentino dress with long sleeves and a turtleneck, with feather embellishments in shades of mobile and gray. She gathered her hair for a tight hairstyle, "inspired by the ballet," she said, and adorned herself with flattering little earrings.

Great Saturday has arrived - the civil wedding ceremony in the presence of family and close friends only. Bride Julia has decided that the way to become the dream bride, she does while drawing inspiration from Grace Kelly, her style icon. Therefore, she transferred the organization while dressed in the garment of the Princess of Monaco. "I wore a satin robe by MGM's costume designer and who designed Grace Kelly's wedding dress - Helen Rose," Julia said. "I've been following her work since I was a little girl and I knew exactly what I wanted."

For the wedding ceremony, Julia wore a vintage couture wedding dress by Hoover de Givenchy from 1964 in a greenish shade. This is a dress with a square neckline on which flower ornaments are embedded. Julia added long gloves to the dress, up to above the elbow - which created a look very reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn, another fashion icon. The choice of Givenchy dress, the designer who dressed Hepburn non-stop, also connects to the bride's desire to feel Audrey for one evening. Add to that a hairstyle inspired by the successful actress - and you got Audrey Hepburn of 2020. To the dress the bride added a long question, a sparkling brooch inspired by the actress, small earrings and white and classic shoes by Manolo Blahnik.

The bride's mother wore an azure dress by Armani and her sister Luke by Christian Dior, because why not add some more brand name dropping if possible? The groom wore a three-piece suit with gray pants, a black blazer and a silver tie. But wait, this is not the end of it. For Saturday dinner, held at La Granville, the bride wore a red strapless dress by Givenchy from the Fall 2019 collection, which Bella Hadid also wore for a photo shoot of a cover. This time, Julia went for scattered hair. The groom wore a black suit with a black bow tie. At the end of the event, the couple went on a two-week honeymoon in Switzerland that includes a ski vacation. In a conversation with Vogue, they say that they planned a larger event in October 2020, but they too - like the other couples who had to postpone the plans due to the plague - stopped the plans. Say, this crazy weekend was not enough for you?
