The students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won three bronze medals in the Asian Olympiad in Informatics, organized by Indonesia (remotely) on the fifteenth of this month, with the participation of 240 students from 33 countries.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that the medal students are Ahmed Muhammad Munther Haidar from the third grade of secondary school from Al-Mohseniya School in Damascus, Bishr Saad Al-Din Islambouli from the second year of secondary school from Al-Morouj School in Aleppo, and Muhammad Noor Muhammad Khaldoun Masri from the third grade of secondary school from Knowledge School, Aleppo.

And 27 students from the Syrian Scientific Olympiad specializing in “Informatics” participated in the Asian Olympiad in Informatics from four geographical centers in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Lattakia. The competitions lasted five hours at the same time in the participating countries and with direct electronic link between the students and the Asian Scientific Committee for the Olympiad in Indonesia and included a set of issues In the English language, which requires a high capacity for analysis and logical thinking in the field of programming and algorithms.
