A new video of a policeman shooting an African American citizen shakes the US. An officer opened fire and shot 29-year-old African American Jacob Blake in the back several times, who is now hospitalized in serious condition. The incident took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and protests and clashes erupted last night, a few hours after the broadcast of the video. Protesters headed to the police station throwing what appear to be Molotov cocktails and bricks at law enforcement, while officers used tear gas to disperse people. In other areas of the city, garbage trucks were set on fire that had been positioned at some intersections. Blake was shot around 5pm local time after officers answered a call for a domestic accident. Footage circulating on social media shows two armed police officers following Blake as he walks to a van and opens the driver's door to enter. At this point one of the agents grabs him by the back of his shirt and seems to shoot him at close range, amid the screams of those present. A member of the young man's family said Blake's children were in the van as his father was shot, and numerous witnesses told local media that the 29-year-old had tried to quell a fight between two women.
