Henry Cavill played Superman for the first time in the 2013 film "Man Of Steel". Last year he was allowed to take on another iconic role: that of Geralt von Rivia in the Netflix series "The Witcher" *. The streaming service was certain that the series would be a hit - thanks to "The Witcher" video games, there were already numerous fans, even if the Netflix production is a separate adaptation. Before the first season debuted, a second season was announced. Filming is now in progress and Geralt actor Cavill has now given fans a glimpse behind the scenes.

Cavill shared a photo on his Instagram channel showing him in the makeup chair. The British actor gets his make-up removed after a day of shooting that left him dirty and bloody . In the second season Geralt will have to take a lot - but maybe not only in the fight with monsters or human villains. "The Witcher" season 2 has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic
The shooting for the second season began earlier this year, they , however, were delayed due to the coronavirus - pandemic . Production recently started again, taking various security measures into account. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich used the interruption to work with the other authors to improve the scripts and to streamline the stories of the individual characters.
