(ANSA) - GENEVA, AUGUST 25 - The coronavirus pandemic is slowing down in the world according to the latest weekly data from the WHO, especially in the American continent. More than 1.7 million new cases and 39,000 new deaths were reported in the week of August 17-23, representing a 5% decrease in cases and 12% deaths compared to the previous week. The slowdown has been recorded everywhere in the world except in Southeast Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean. (HANDLE).
