Hollywood reacts to police attack on Jacob Blake

Several stars such as Camila Cabello, Cardi B and Demi Lovato, reacted to the case of police abuse that Jacob Blake suffered.


On August 23, Wisconsin police officers repeatedly shot 29-year-old Jacob Blake in the back as he entered a vehicle.

According to the BBC , the officers came to the scene because they received a report of a domestic incident. At the scene, Blake, according to witnesses, tried to separate two women who were arguing and the police threatened to use stun guns.

In a video that was broadcast on social networks, you can see how Jacob Blake walks towards his car, while two policemen continue to point their firearm at him, after he opens the door to enter, one of the officers pulls him from his clothes and seconds later he shoots him seven times. Inside the vehicle were three of the six sons of Jacob.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice reported that the agents are already under investigation, and they also indicated that Blake was admitted to an intensive care unit and that he was stable after surgery.

In Wisconsin several people came out to protest against this new case of police abuse while on social networks several stars such as Camila Cabello , Cardi B and Demi Lovato , expressed their support for Jacob Blake.

Singer Camila Cabello asked for justice through her Instagram account, "I just have no words. I am closing my eyes and praying for this man and his family, I am praying for his recovery, as well as that he heals this trauma, pain, loss and the necessary rage, pain, and anger from his family. I am praying for the collective healing of this country, of our African American brothers and sisters who have to live in a world that has caused them so much pain. "

"We demand a new world. We need a change, we need these police officers to be arrested and we need a sign that this government has enough empathy and cares enough for humanity to do something about it," said Cabello.

Demi Lovato also protested on her social profile where she recounted what had happened, and at the end asked her followers to call local officials to ask for justice for Blake.
