From the 'Knowledge of the Cremonese Violinmaker' to the 'Art of Falconry', from the Opera dei Pupi Siciliani to the Tenor Singing to the 'Celebration of Celestinian Forgiveness': these are some of the Elements recognized in Italy by Unesco as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity, among the 549 recognized in 127 countries. The reference communities met for the first time, even if only in virtual connection, in L'Aquila in a workshop promoted by Mibact to deepen the theme of intangible heritage. "A theme that is not easy to communicate" observes Massimo Alesii, contact person of the L'Aquila community for the Unesco dossier and member of the organizing committee of the 726 / a Celestinian Perdonance. The workshop was also attended by the communities of elements in Unesco evaluation for 2020: the Art of Venetian glass beads and the Musical Art of hunting horn players.

"The intangible heritage is everything that populations produce in their daily lives, a living heritage that is updated and modified - continues Alesii - With the 'Celestinian Feast of Forgiveness' L'Aquila has entered a new large international community, much more extended, composed of those who are the practitioners and bearers of these intangible values ".

Under the coordination of Mibact and the Unesco Office, Elena Sinibaldi, national Focal Point for the implementation and implementation of the 2003 Unesco Convention (Unesco Service-General Secretariat-Mibact), coordinated "this magnificent workshop, in which we hosted for example Falconry, art and practice invented by Frederick II that gathers practitioners in many regions and nations of the world - says Alesii - And then also the luthiers of the Cremona Lutherie District, who have suffered a lot in this period due to Covid, a universe of competence in the construction of musical instruments, not only artisanal, but above all an example of generational transfer that has been carrying out this unique family-run art since the 16th century ". A meeting that made it possible to involve "all the active component of the Celestine Perdonanza community of Abruzzo and L'Aquila: in addition to the municipal administration, which every year governs the management of the Perdonanza committee for the organization of the Festival, also all the Associations and Groups that for over 40 years they have been carrying on what we call 'modern forgiveness' ".
In thanking the Mibact, it is worth reiterating, concludes Alesii, that the event "has shown that the Unesco structure of the Ministry is in reality an open structure, of listening, available to give support and support to communities for the protection of assets, behaviors and ancient traditions ". A project aimed at the future.
