VIDEO. The Île-de-France region will distribute masks to Ile-de-France high school students

The president of the region, Valérie Pécresse, announced this morning that the high school students would receive two washable masks during the first days.


The Ile-de-France regional council has announced that it will distribute two washable fabric masks to each high school student in Ile-de-France and to each teacher during the first week of the start of the school year to deal with the coronavirus epidemic.

The measure will equip some 522,000 high school students in Ile-de-France. This measure is intended to "ensure that families do not have additional charges for this return," said the president of the region (Free!) Valérie Pécresse.

In her speech, the president of the region assured "take responsibility" in the face of the refusal of the Ministry of National Education to issue free masks to French students.

Valérie Pécresse also indicated that the high schools will be disinfected daily and that each regional agent will have an "endowment" of protection.
