The singer has released a new song, and she is excitedly waiting for her first show in six months • "Praying that the show will not be canceled. It was hard when it was taken from me"

Yuval Dayan has released a new single that she wrote and composed during the Corona period, "Shrek Shachai", a song that has, for her, many of the new insights that the plague brought with it. In two weeks she is due to return to the stage, for the first time in six months that will take place in Brenner Hill, and she is excited.

"The corona period was divided into two parts for me," says Dayan (25). "At first I was under a lot of pressure from what was going to happen to us. Towards Pesach I planned to renew and replace all the equipment of my home studio, and suddenly everything stopped. It sent me in, I wrote songs and it became a period of creation. In my profession you constantly look where you are. In relation to others, what you have not yet achieved and what is missing, and suddenly all the movement was in, a thought about what I have, what I have achieved, what I can say thank you. This great lesson I learned about modesty and the ability to be content with what is - is in the song 'Just smile' "

In the clip of the song you are seen arriving at the canopy by surprise. Where does the idea come from?

"When the corona started, my Instagram box exploded with requests from couples to come be with them at the canopy. I went to my parents' one day, and I thought it might be really cool if I surprised a couple getting married. We contacted relatives, asked them not to tell and I was really surprised. It was super exciting. ".

Do you miss the stage?

"I started my musical career at the age of 17. Today I am 25 years old, and music is my first job. I do not know anything else. This period without performances was very challenging. Leave the subject of livelihood. This routine of getting to work, to be filled. Mental health for me to perform. As one who used to perform every night, probably in the summer, and move people, to feel the love of the audience and the energy - it was very difficult when it was taken from me. My faith helped a lot. I said that as it started, so it will probably end. It's renewed, people survive hard things. Maybe I live in a movie, but I believe we're always in a good direction.

" We pray, the whole composition, that it will not be canceled mercy and peace. We set back, I miss them, this is my family. I met some of them in small performances I did in Zoom, but it is of course completely different, without feeling the audience. We are very excited to return. I imagine the moment of going on stage. My last performance was on March 13, almost half a year had passed. I'm waiting for that moment of seeing the crowd and get the boom heart. "

What do you think about the closure of the cultural world Because of the corona?

”I think the decision not to open up the world of culture is simply not to understand a vital need, something that strengthens the people. This is what the people need right now at a time when they are scared and anxious. What helps more than culture? More than shows? It also hurt me to hear people say that artists don't really work. People need to understand that artists work very hard, even if our Instagram accounts look shiny, behind every artist there is a team of between 50 and 100 people who let this thing happen. Culture is not just fun but a vital need. "
