Pre-order PS5: Sony is accepting registrations - but only in the US
Sony is now accepting registrations for PS5 pre-orders on the official US Playstation website. But interested parties outside of the US are left behind: All registrations received from other countries will be canceled . This means that German users have to be patient - Sony has not yet provided any information on the advance booking process in Europe.
Pre-orders are limited : Sony's website states that only a limited number of consoles will be available for pre-order. Therefore, existing customers with a Playstation Network ID should get the opportunity to pre-order a PS5 first. Reservations are accepted according to the “first come, first serve” principle - that is, those who register early enough increase their chances of securing a console early on. In addition to the PS5, accessories such as charging stations, headphones and controllers will also be available for the selected users. Reservations for consoles will be limited to one per PSN ID.
Are pre-orders also restricted in Germany? The fact that Sony only allows pre-orders of the PS5 in the USA via registration shows that the company fears bottlenecks and is trying to intercept them. A few months ago, production of the new console was therefore boosted. It is not yet possible to say whether there will be similar restrictions on advance sales in Europe and Germany .

PS5: The start of pre-orders will be communicated in good time
Update from July 20, 2020 : Geoff Keighley recently provided a closer look at the official PS5 controller during a live stream as part of the "Summer Game Festival".
