(ANSA) - PARIS, AUGUST 30 - This week France has exceeded the "historic threshold" of 900,000 weekly Covid tests: the government spokesman GabrielAttal said today, announcing the free and public points in the city that tomorrow will swab all those who they will ask.
"We passed the historic mark of 900,000 tampons in a week yesterday, something huge," Attal told radio RTL. But the government's goal is to reach one million tests per week "in the short term", according to Health Minister Olivier Véran.
"Today - said Attal - we have on average 30,000 new cases of Coronavirus per week. There is a multiplier effect as we do many more tests and it is positive, but it is not just an effect. We must remain very vigilant". (HANDLE).
